One thing I have always wanted to cross off my bucket list was creating an edgy, yet elegant El Matador Beach Elopement Inspiration photoshoot. When I found out my fiancé was gifting me with a plane ticket to see my best friend in my dream place, Malibu, CA, I knew I had to take advantage of the opportunity and create an incredible elopement styled session. Eloping is the trend at the moment, but it’s very near to my heart. When I was little, I never dreamed of a big wedding with a fairytale dress and a twenty tier cake. So when Kyler asked me to marry him (whoa still feels weird saying that sentence haha), we both knew that eloping was exactly what our adventurous hearts wanted for our wedding day. Providing inspiration for other brides considering eloping is so much fun!
I rented an Airbnb overlooking the Malibu cliffs (with NO A/C, which is pretty standard over there) and our incredible team began glamming up our bride and groom. Sophie with Sibyl Sophia Floral Design absolutely nailed the florals for this shoot- exactly what I dreamed of. My great friend Bridget with Darling Concepts created gorgeous calligraphy for our leather jacket wearing babe. Zena enhanced Kate’s gorgeous features and gave her elegant beach waves. Once we were ready, we headed to El Matador Beach. I teared up just stepping out of the car. My dream was coming true- reaching the Pacific Ocean, photographing an intimate elopement with my best friend next to me, and seeing all the ideas come together was so special. We scaled some steep overlooks to achieve these gorgeous images, and I could not be any more proud of my team.
