So excited to share this Downtown Pensacola New Year’s Eve Wedding Inspiration with you all! Pensacola weddings are synonymous with beach vibes. Beach weddings this time of year are difficult to create, because our winter weather is all over the place. Thankfully, our city has the most gorgeous venues to host your Downtown Pensacola Wedding. Our city is full of the coolest history and architecture, I really wanted to showcase that by complimenting it with a delicate dress and wild veil. With the weird Pacific North West-type weather we were having in Pensacola, it completely changed the atmosphere and mood of this session. Which is totally cool, because wedding day weather can be unpredictable and it can inspire us in other ways that we originally imagined.
The inspiration I had for this shoot was subtle New Years Eve glam. I saw a random photo of a stranger standing by some Christmas lights, with iPhone flash aimed right at her and the bokeh from the lights making the shot magical. Somehow, that motivated me to break out my off camera flash and try a little night photography with the gorgeously lit trees off Palafox. So from that random image I saw on instagram, this wedding was born. I’m totally digging the accessories. You can tell from my images I live for minimal details so I can focus on the moment happening between my couples. Sure, the elopements I photograph happen overlooking cliffs or are surrounded by trendy buildings, but my favorite images are filled with tiny emotional details- like fingers intertwined or a gentle hand pulling you close. That’s all you, I just create art out of those intimate moments.
So I hope this New Year’s Eve Wedding Inspiration lights a fire to get your wedding planning into full swing in the New Year. I am in the same boat! Being a wedding photographer while planning a wedding has been incredible, but overwhelming. I’ve witnessed so many beautiful weddings, I just want to have a special day in so many places wearing different dresses haha. Same gorgeous man, though. We’ve pretty much decided we are going to elope just the two of us, in a country that means a lot to me, then honeymoon it up in a country that means a lot to my love, and come home and spend an incredible evening with our close family and friends- filled with meaningful details that we will treasure for many years to come.
